I'm 17, about to start my last year of high school, and I build TubeTools by myself in my free time.

I started building TubeTools because I wanted thumbnail and CTR analysis tools without paying for the expensive subscriptions I couldn't afford. I taught myself to code, and I build, maintain, and update every tool myself. I test each one on real videos and channels before publishing it.

Why TubeTools exists

When I got curious about how YouTube actually works under the hood — thumbnails, CTR, monetization — I found that most of the "professional" tools were locked behind paid subscriptions, many built for agencies or businesses, not for someone who just wants to understand why one video works and another doesn't.

So I decided to build my own versions, for free, and leave them open for anyone who wants to use them. That's TubeTools: the tools I wish I'd had when I started.

How I write the blog guides

I write every guide on this site myself, based on YouTube's and AdSense's public documentation and on RPM/CPM figures creators openly share in forums and on social media. I don't have access to private data from other people's channels, and when I give a figure range, it's an estimate drawn from public sources — not independently verified data.

If you spot something that looks outdated or wrong, reach out and I'll fix it.

Why ads and not subscriptions: I wanted every tool to be genuinely free, with no "premium" features hidden behind a paywall. Google AdSense is the model that lets me cover hosting and keep building without charging anyone. It's as simple as that.

The tools, in detail

The Thumbnail Extractor pulls from YouTube's public image CDN, which stores thumbnails at multiple resolutions for every video. I present these in HD 1080p (maxresdefault), 720p (hqdefault), and 480p (mqdefault). The download happens directly in your browser, with no data passing through my servers.

The CTR Score scores your thumbnail on 12 criteria commonly associated with higher click-through rates: color contrast, face presence, text quantity, legibility, composition, mobile visibility, and more. It's a directional guide, not a guarantee of results.

The Revenue Calculator uses YouTube Partner Program's publicly documented payment structure along with RPM ranges creators have publicly shared by niche. These are directional estimates — your actual RPM depends on your audience, geography, and available advertisers at any given time.
